Microsoft has identified an issue affecting Windows 11 version 24H2 installations performed using media, including the October or November 2024 security updates. Systems installed this way may be unable to receive future security updates. To resolve this, Microsoft recommends reinstalling Windows 11 version 24H2 using installation media that incorporates the December 2024 security update or later. This issue does not affect devices updated via Windows Update or the Microsoft Update Catalog.
