According to a KPMG banking technology survey, 76% of U.S. bank executives reported an increase in cyberattacks over the past year. In response, 92% of banks have increased their cybersecurity budgets, with 84% specifically addressing threats introduced by artificial intelligence, such as code vulnerabilities, deepfakes, AI bots, and securing agentic technologies. To counter these emerging threats, banks are implementing regular audits, robust security measures, and partnering with external experts.
